1. Endoscopic Breast Augmentation

During this procedure a small incision is made in the armpit and the implant is placed underneath the chest muscle. The main advantage is that it avoids a scar on the breast and hides very well in the armpit region. The length of surgery as well as the recovery is comparable to the standard augmentation procedure.

2. Endoscopic browlift

This procedure has several advantages to the open browlift technique and it has become my technique of choice for brow lifting. The main advantage is that it avoids a very long scar at the top of the head in the hairline from ear to ear. In this operation four short incisions are made and the scalp is shifted posteriorly to raise the brows without removal of any skin. In this way, the operative time as well as potential for bleeding is greatly reduced. The recovery appears to be somewhat faster than the open technique. Overall there are fewer complications to this procedure when compared to the open approach. Patients with very tall foreheads are not considered good candidates for this procedure.

3. Pain pump

I've used this device for about four years. I use it for every breast augmentation as well as every abdominoplasty, and found that it greatly reduces postoperative pain. Patients usually still require some narcotic pain pills, although they state that their pain has been greatly reduced with the use of this pump. This device has enough medicine to last for four days after surgery. It is very easy to use and is easily removed by the patients at home. My philosophy is: why have pain when it can be nearly totally removed?

4. Power-Assisted Liposuction

An electrically vibrating liposuction cannula tip which allows very easy and accurate removal of fat with perhaps less trauma to the tissues. It is tolerated very well by patients who do not want to be put to sleep for surgery. This is done in our office under light sedation with numbing fluid and saves money on hospital and anesthesia costs.
