Procedures

Earlobe Repair

This is a very common occurrence, that happens either through trauma or occurs slowly over time. Fortunately this is a relatively easy procedure to perform. It is done in our office under local anesthesia and usually takes about 20 minutes per side. There is minimal downtime, and not much pain afterwards.

The procedure usually involves cutting a very small amount of the edges of the torn segment in order to create raw surfaces that will heal together. Then these cut edges are sewn back together in a straight line both in the front and rear of the earlobe. The patient can shower the next day. The sutures are usually removed in 5 days.
