Procedures

Vaginal Labiaplasty

This is a condition where there is excess skin of the labia minor (inner lip) which protrudes past the labia major (outer lip). It may interfere with wearing clothing, having sexual relations, or be unsightly. This can be corrected either in our office using sedation and local anesthesia, or in the OR under general anesthesia (rarely used). It involves cutting away the redundant skin, and sewing the edges to prevent bleeding. Usually the sutures are of the dissolving type and do not need to be removed.
